We pulled Ariel out of a Kentucky shelter 7/22/16. She was an owner surrender. She is a black and tan hound/shepherd mix. She weighs 24 pounds currently (7/24/16) and was born around 3/30/16. She is a great little puppy who loves people and other animals. Ariel is doing great in her foster home! She was a little shy at first but she is warming up quickly! Ariel loves squeaky toys and chewies. So far, she hasn't chewed on too much she's not supposed to and was easily redirected. Great traveling companion! For a puppy, she's very laid back and calm. She seems to be medium energy. She's happy running around the yard or relaxing on her doggy bed playing with toys. She does great at coming when she's called and likes to stay close. Ariel seems very eager to please humans and stops what she is doing when her foster mom redirects her attention. She does good on a leash and is only hesitant once in a while. Potty training is going very well with only one accident so far. She's warming up to being crated and will get in it with the help of treats on her own about half the time. So far, she is getting along very well with her extremely independent, laid back senior pug foster sister. She tries to play occasionally and reads signals well when the other dog is not interested. She will be cat and kid tested soon! Ariel has been in the area of cats and didn't seem to pay much attention to them. She loves to snuggle and relax with her foster mom and pug sister! She will be a wonderful addition to a family that is looking for a loyal companion!
