“Due to the pandemic, we are asking anyone who is interested in adoption to fill out an application at prior to meeting an animal. We will check references and then contact you to discuss the application before scheduling an appointment to meet the animal. This will decrease the amount of foot traffic in the rescue and in our foster’s homes. Thank you for understanding!  Please feel free to call the rescue a time for more information at 937-247-9272.”

Jax Jax is a purebred boxer. He was surrendered to us by a family who could not afford his surgery to remove the pacifier he ate. This was his second time to have this done. Jax definitely needs a home with nothing covered in baby slobber! He obviously has an affinity for this, and the doc says his intestines were so damaged that he will not survive a third time! He is a lucky boy to be here with us now! He is very sweet and gets along with everyone! His birthday is 10/21/09. He was surrendered to us on 7/1/13. He is male, fawn colored, and weighs 63 lbs. He gets along well with children of all ages and also really likes cats and tennis balls. He does not exactly enjoy his crate, but will go in one if necessary. He needs to have a tall fence in order to be trusted in a yard alone, as he can easily jump a 4 ft chain link. He is excellent on the leash. He has a super temperament. He's even been sleeping in his host family's boys room, on the floor on his bed - they didn't hear a peep out of him. He really is a lovely boy!
