PopeyePopeye is a 12 year old neutered male chihuahua we pulled out of the Preble County animal shelter. He has chronic dry eye and it was well advanced and untreated. He is scheduled to have one eye removed on Sept 20th. He is a sweet little guy who is house-trained and gets along with everyone. He likes tooling around the backyard. ++++++++++ Message From Popeye +++++++++++ Hi everyone, It is me Popeye. I know I look good right now, but that is because the stinky dachshund just cleaned my eye off. He really likes to lick the junk off. Gross huh? Well anyways on September 20th I am having an enunciation of my left eye. Yes that means removal. I have something called kerato-conjunctivitis sicca which is dry eye but it was left untreated. I am in pain and have a chronic infection. So soon I will be "One Eyed Popeye". This kind of surgery can be real expensive this is what my foster mom told me. We are asking for ask for donations. I have been pretty costly, for the rescue and I know I have some good friends who can help out. Thanks for all the help and love you have sent my way. My foster mom is a wreck about this surgery, but I will be okay, and it will be so nice to be pain free. Donate Link for Robyn's Nest Rescue Thanks in advance for your support! Every little bit will help my rescue family. Yours Truly, Popeye ++++++++++++++++++++ Pup Update: This little tough guy pulled through surgery and is better than ever! He was formally adopted by his loving foster mom!
