UPDATE: He has transitioned great into his foster home and is loving the space to roam :) He can and will sit on command and can also lay down. We are working on other skills such as shake, but that is going slow haha. He absolutely loves to cuddle. His favorite is to lay between my legs with his upper body on my chest. Often nuzzling his nose between my shoulder and neck. He likes to chew on a lot of things. He chews through and rips apart most of his toys, but will chew on his kong and bones for hours. He absolutely loves playing fetch with his kong in the house and frisbees at the park (sometimes tennis balls). He absolutely LOVES other dogs! He will let them know if he thinks they are boring too by barking in their face. He will run and chase them for hours, but sometimes he gets tired chasing the big dogs because his short little legs can't keep up :) He has been with a 10 week old puppy and other small dogs and either didn't pay attention to them or just nudged them a little. He was also with children and didn't jump or nip, only looked for attention which he does with just about any human. He loves to go to the dog park and go for walks! He does really well on the walks and doesn't pull and will sit and let people pet him all they want. We even met a husky puppy that was very timid and scared of just about everything the other day and I told him to sit and he did and let the puppy sniff him and continued to sit. This is Mowgli. We pulled him from Preble County animal shelter on 3/8/16. He was found as a stray in St. Paris. We think he may be a pit/beagle mix. He is a male born around 3/9/15. He is chocolate in color with white on his chest and feet. He has beautiful brown eyes and weighs 28.5 lbs, a nice beagle size! He is very sweet and energetic and loves other dogs. He knows how to sit and is working on other skills. He also loves to play fetch, go to the dog park, and splash around in water. (He even loves baths!) He needs a home with NO cats or small animals, as the beagle in him likes to hunt. He is a wonderful dog who is being overlooked at our rescue! He is a sweet guy who likes to snuggle and just wants to find a permanent home. Please consider meeting him Also needs a home with NO cats or small animals.
