“Due to the pandemic, we are asking anyone who is interested in adoption to fill out an application at www.robynsnestrescue.com/adoption-form prior to meeting an animal. We will check references and then contact you to discuss the application before scheduling an appointment to meet the animal. This will decrease the amount of foot traffic in the rescue and in our foster’s homes. Thank you for understanding!  Please feel free to call the rescue a time for more information at 937-247-9272.”

Max is a great little 3 year old Dachshund. He can be shy at times and seems very unsure of himself, but with much praise and encouragement he is becoming a happy and playful guy. Max enjoys spending time playing outside with his 3 doggie foster brothers, and enjoys the company of his 4 year old human foster brother, although some quick movements and loud noises send him running! For some reason he likes to eat alone. His crate seems to be his security. When he is feeling overwhelmed he can be found resting there. This is also where he likes to eat his breakfast and dinner. Max will happily sleep in his crate at night or be just as comfortable sleeping in bed with his 14 year old foster sister. We still occasionally have some potty issues, but he is making great progress. Ohhh yes, and he is finally becoming secure enough to play with toys and chew on Nylabones. !!!! Max is a great guy who loves to be held and sit with you on the couch. He is not too generous with kisses, but the look in his eyes tells you how much he loves you. Max has now been adopted into a home with a 1 year old pug to play with. He is still a little timid but is doing well.
