We took in Toby and Sammy together. The owners had released them because their baby was allergic. Toby is a 14 year old Pomeranian that was originally purchased at a pet store. No one can believe he's 14, including our veterinarian, so he may be younger. He gets along with everyone, including cats, dogs, kids, men, etc. He enjoys going on walks and keeps up well with our 12 year old very active Akita mix, but is also happy vegging on the couch watching TV with whomever happens to be there. He rides great in a car, is house trained (and wipes his feet before coming in the house), and rarely barks. He really is just a great all around little dog, weighing only 10 pounds. He had his teeth cleaned shortly after coming here to the rescue. Unfortunately, his teeth were too far gone and all but one was pulled. It hasn't stopped him from eating, and even eats hard food with no teeth without any problems. He has now been adopted by a nurse/veterinary technology student who will be able to care for him well in his golden years!
