“Due to the pandemic, we are asking anyone who is interested in adoption to fill out an application at prior to meeting an animal. We will check references and then contact you to discuss the application before scheduling an appointment to meet the animal. This will decrease the amount of foot traffic in the rescue and in our foster’s homes. Thank you for understanding!  Please feel free to call the rescue a time for more information at 937-247-9272.”

Kalli was taken into Robyn's Nest on 12/30/15. She was in need of surgery and the owners were unable to have it done, so instead of euthanizing, they surrendered her to us. She is now healthy and ready for a new home! She is a basset mix who has lived most of her life outside. She is short haired, black and brindle with brown eyes. She was born around 10/30/07. She weighs 56.5 lbs, but seems smaller since she has short legs! She likes stuffed toys, busy bones, and sleeping in a bed with her person. Now that she lives indoors she might as well be queen right? She is loving, friendly to everyone, playful but lower energy. She loves sitting on laps! She gets along great with other animals and kids of all ages. Kalli is adjusting very well. To add to what you already know, she's doing well in the potty training department. She goes outside and comes back in when she's told. She goes into her cage on command. She knows how to sit but has trouble doing it when there's a lot of distractions. She likes to sleep cradled in her foster mom's arm like a baby and lays her head on her shoulder. When hanging out on the couch she forgets how big she is and tries to be a lapdog! Her foster mom got her some Nyla bones because she inhales rawhides and was worried about her choking. She loves them and spends a lot of her time chewing but never chews anything she's not supposed to! She likes her human to get on the floor and play with her and her stuffed toys. She's a good little girl and doesn't tear the stuffing out! Her nails have been painted and she doesn't mind wearing a sweater! She's such a happy dog wags her tail a lot to prove it!
