Find Your Lost Pet

Here are some helpful suggestions for finding your lost pet.

Post signs in the area where the animal was lost.  Make the writing simple and large so that a passing car can see the important information such as “LOST” and the type of animal.  Post them outside, take them door to door, post them in grocery stores, libraries, etc.  Check out the flyer-maker at www.petbond.com. Email this flyer with picture to every rescue in the surrounding area you can find.  Go to www.petfinder.com for a list of rescues.

Place an ad in your local newspapers.

Call your county shelter and every shelter of every surrounding county.  Send them your flyer, and visit them in person.

If your pet is microchipped, call the company to report them lost and make sure that your contact information is current.

Post your lost pet on www.findfido.comwww.pets911.com, www.helpmefindmypet.com, www.h4ha.org/lost-and-found-pets/index.php, www.lostandpound.com, www.thepetrescue.com, www.fidofinder.com, www.lostpetusa.net, and www.craigslist.com, and www.mypethunter.com.

If you are on facebook, post a picture, description, and your info and ask all your friends to SHARE.  Also post it on the facebook page Dayton Ohio and Surrounding Area Lost and Found.
